I have the same problem with my whole roof being the dent... It was my fault though, because I thought it was a good idea to get drunk and shoot skeet while standing on the roof

Needless to say, when it rains, I have Cherokee Lake on the top of my XJ. LOL

Hey just leave it alone and just put some truckbed coating on it so it dont rust and put the rack on it like you said. You start messing with that roof anymore youll get your self in more trouble the what its worth.

Ok, well even though I am pretty sick at the moment, I worked up some energy today and pulled out my headliner (needed to do that anyways) and took a 2x4 and a rubber mallet to the inside of the roof... To my surprise it did a terrific job! Took a little bit of grunt at first and then some finesse of course, but no more soup bowl on the roof! I'll see if I can post pictures from my phone...

It's even better now there's just one spot that's reluctant to pop back up
And a few ugly dents above the rear speakers
