i would think that once you get the roof braces back in place the roof would return its original shape

Just throwing this out there...... What if you were to put a piece of plywood on too of the dent, strap it down and get another piece of plywood and try the jack again? Worth a shot..... But then again you could chop the top too lol.

I would get a hammer and try to bang it out but if you try to fix it yourself it will more than likely still look like crap. Get some body work quotes it shouldnt be an expensive fix if you go to the right source.

Keep us informed as to how and what results you get. This is one of those sounds simple problems that really is not simple.

I've got something similar with my roof but on a smaller scale.... i punched it back up and it looked good for like two minutes then it popped right back down, i think the major player is those braces.... I didnt want to mess with it, but since it looks easy enough, are those things glued on and how easy are they to take off?

i have my spare up there and mine is the same way i have tried alot of different things but there is really nothing you can do unless cut it and put in a sun roof lol. i also park to where i back up if i know there is water going to be up there bc my hatch seal leaks almost all the water in. so just deal with it for now unless you are like 6'8 and need the head room

Not a single "raise the roof" comment. I am highly disappointed...

heat the dent in the roof with a heat gun, apply foil over the dent then place dry ice on it..

whalla, paintless dent removal..

*disclaimer* wear neoprene gloves or similar before handling dry ice...
