The resale value alone kills any value in a Prius. The batteries in them don't last more than 100k miles and the replacement cost for just the battery (not including labor) is several thousand dollars.
Hell, once you factor in the production and shipping from Japan the "carbon footprint" of the Prius is bigger than a Hummer H2. Nevermind the fact that there's not a state in the country where you can charge a hybrid or electric car where the environmental impact isn't completely offset by emissions created at power plants.

Question is, who is CNW? Has anyone checked this data? Who funds CNW and/or their rearch? Is it at all similar to similar studies. A lot of critical question before one should go around saying their Jeep is more enviro-friendly than something else.
