Overpriced?
Engineering
Prototyping
Tooling
Not to mention the normal costs of doing business.
Insurance
Payroll
Facilities
Marketing
And all the other overhead associated with running a business.
Still think they're too expensive, try starting your own aftermarket business and build a comparable product.

Spoke by a true business owner defending the true world of sticking it up the consumers a$$....

While I agree that they are stupidly over priced; they will never come down in price because guys are paying the price to have them.
With that said,..I refuse to buy them. I don't give a **** about their costs and overhead, just mine.
Its almost like they're sayin........"HEY LETS SEE HOW MUCH MONEY WE CAN GET OUT THESE DUMB A$$ JEEPERS!!!!..." They would sell alot more if the pricing was better. Fact (.)
J-ust E-mpty E-very P-ocket... was written because of the after market. Not replacement maintenance parts.
Sorry OP. I'm done....
....now.

Just trying to help

lol imagine how long they would be on back order if they dropped them to $250.00...i know I would order two sets. They would probably sell more in a month at $250, than they do in a year at 4??. It def doesn't cost bushwacker 100 per set they produce.

I can promise you that if he was building them as business to make a profit he'd be accounting for every cent and every minute that he invested in those flares.
Remember that time is a commodity like everything else. His time is worth something, and so is yours.

Don't get me wrong guys, I'd love to see the price on these come down, but it's a wish and a dream. 4x4 parts are no different than anything else out there. Supply and demand drive prices along with the cost of doing business. If an acceptable profit* cannot be made then what's the point?
*Acceptable profit is at the discretion of the business, not the consumer.

Not sure if he can do that but not everybody needs to stand on their flares [flares that strong].
That is one reason I posed the question about how they held up as the thread is about a year old.
I have no doubt that the manufactured product is great, but that is not close to my budget. If it was, it would already be on my XJ, thereby doubling its actual value. A lot of folks want flares for looks as they are mall crawlers and for state regulations that require covering the wider stance. The guy who made the flairs said just to keep the truck from getting so dirty.
Serious, not disagreeing by any chance, just wanted a few folks to check out the idea depending on what they want them for.

Not necessarily. It's been done. Search for it. You might just need to drill some extra holes, but you can mount these things to a big flat piece of sheet metal if you wanted to. I don't see why you couldn't make it work. It's just easier and probably a cleaner outcome if you didn't cut already, and certainly it depends how much you've cut too. I helped a buddy install his, and have mine still in the box ready to go on my XJ. Haters gonna hate, but I love how the flatties look, and don't want to mess around with garden trim to make my own.
