Hey guys I'm new here but have always been a fan of the CF. I'm looking to buy some flat fender flares for my 99 xj but I just don't know how black fenders would look on my white xj... So my question is if anyone has pictures of their white xj with this style flare, please post them. If your Jeep is a different color you can post as well. Also I wouldn't mind seeing pictures of the Bushwacker cutout flares on white. I'll post a picture of my Jeep and if you think they will look good let me know. THANKS!

Sorry, mines not white but I put the flat flares on a few weeks ago. So far I'm really pleased with them, there's a lot more clearance than before and the install wasn't bad.

Thanks for the pics. Nice rig. I like the look. Did you paint or use bed liner on the bottom sides of your jeep?

That looks good. Yea i'm looking for a little more clearance with not a lot of cutting. how long did it take you to install?

Thanks. It took me about three days, but I'm sure it could be done quicker. That's with painting the metal with the cuts on it and cutting the trim pieces. Removing the old flares was kind of a pain (the metal brackets and fenders didn't want to be separated) and getting the screws to line up to put the inner and outer flares together took some work. I used a 3" cut off saw I got from harbor freight to make the cuts, it worked very well and the cutting went easily. The cutting seems intimidating but once you get the hang of it it's not bad at all and if you follow the directions it should come out very well.

Overpriced?

Engineering
Prototyping
Tooling

Not to mention the normal costs of doing business.
Insurance
Payroll
Facilities
Marketing
And all the other overhead associated with running a business.

Still think they're too expensive, try starting your own aftermarket business and build a comparable product.

I do, and I working on doing just that .

It's a bunch of molded flat plastic. Hooligan offroad flares, I understand the cost, flat pieces of mass produced plastic, no.

Also the price of plastic is directly proportional to the price of oil. If oil and gas are up, so is plastic.
