Default Budget Boost?

Just picked up an 01, and was wondering how much i should expect to pay to have a budget boost done? 4X4 place here in Denver (High Country Performance) want 400 for parts and 400 for labor- this seems ridiculously high. Thanks.

400 for labor is like 6 hours of labor, should probably be closer to 240 for 3 hours and maybe only two hours labor. Labor rates should be around 70 an hour or thereabouts.

Find a friend who is active duty or retired military who is willing to help you install the lift at an auto hobby shop at one of the military bases near Denver/Colorado Springs. You can rent a bay at an auto hobby shop with a lift for about $5 an hour. You can also check out tools if you don't have any.

Before I retired from the Navy I installed a 2 1/2" lift, with new "U" bolt skids and shackles, on my old CJ by myself in less than four-hours. I did bring my own tools though. Pneumatic cut-off wheels, air ratchets and impact guns help make light work out of old "U" bolts and seized shackle bolts.

Always spend the money you save on new tools!
