Default Bias Ply or Radial??

ive been looking to get a set of 33's for my upcoming RC 4.5"(which will be in this friday ). dont know if you guys remember i posted many threads on which lift i should get. and after numerous advise i got from here i decided on the 4.5 kit full packs. ok im getting off topic. NOW, im planning on getting either super swamper tsl's or some pitbull tires. now pitbull offers their tires in radial or bias ply. now since my rig being my DD am i better off with radials or bias? i know radial will get me better handleing and all but im worried about my tires wearing evenly. TIA!!!

bias are far better for wheeling, but if it's a dd, i'd say get radials.

i have radial TSL's on my jeep and i love them, they handle great on the road for being MT's and are not that loud because of how close the center lugs are, and the mud i go wheeling in is mainly clay which is hard for any tire to self clean and as long as these tires are spinning a little, the grab and pull you right through. I couldnt be happier with them. Only bad thing is, we couldnt balance them on our machine because of the big lugs, so my tires are unbalanced, but I dont get and vibes while driving it, but you can always drive it for a few hundred miles until they level themselves out and round over a little and then balance them, atleast thats what was recomended to me

Location, location, location.........been saying this for years, as a dd I'd consider radials, I'd also consider looking at the Maxxis Bighorns for your surrounding terrian at 33".........think they'll do ya right over your other choices.

ill say this..go with what ever you want..

instead of telling you what to choose, ill just list the advantages and disadvantages

bias: Great offroad, ok on road...if you let it sit for to long you will get flat spots in your tires that will take several miles before the round themselves back out. they will wear unevenly by quite a bit. bias ply tires are cheaper to replace

radials: great on road and offroad...wear evenly..can get more miles out of a set. cost more then bias to replace...ride like a cadillac compared to bias...

just my .02

No, AT's on the Northern East Coast leave you on the end of a rope, or sleeping in the woods until help arrives.......but then again it's all about what you're up for! Roof racks typically dont work either.......

Main reason why im going with the TSL's is because a customer came in with a lifted TJ and some TSL 33's. he bought 5 new A/T for his rig.(i work for pepboys service) and he had told me that he is not keeping any of his old tires. his spare was brand spanking new, he said he never used it. lucky for me i took the new tire but couldnt save any of the other tires, they were beat up some. so now all i need to do is buy 3 more and im set.
