Ready to purchase carpet for my restoration. Considering ACC's Essex with the upgraded backing. Experiences good and/or bad? Tips and hints?

I know you're wanting to go the carpet route... but I've always been partial to a thick rubberized coating/lining on 4x4's so that when you drag muddy feet, dogs, etc. into it.. all you have to do is open all the doors and use the garden hose and boom, problem solved.
