well what engine do u have? the 4.0 or the 5.2?
the only way to get alot more power is to stroke it.
but also regearing, it wont give you more power but depending on the gears it will give you more power at the rear wheels.

look into dodge ram performance when it comes to buildingyour V-8 engines. Cam's, crank's, piston's, rod's all the goodies. And you can get alot of power out of a motor withOUT stroking it. lol

Two things for the 5.2 aka 318.
Mild camshaft and headers and exhaust.
Should be good for an easy extra 50HP.
Do not get wild with the cam your fuel injection will not like it, and
it tends to move the power band up in the RPM range so then you
need more work, like a stall convertor and lower gears.
IF you want to get even more involved, aftermarket heads and
larger injectors.

Diesel: True CAI(Snorkel/Cowl), exhaust, Bored TB, Plugs and injectors. Yield about 15hp.
Its not too easy to get more power out of the 4.0. Stroke it.
