I read that, too. That you needed a certain amount of rotation to fully engage. That it wasn't recommended that you try to rock yourself back & forth when stuck.Originally Posted by 93XJLI
i almost bought an e-locker for my 44. then i read that it needs a certain amount of rotation to fully engage when going from forward to reverse or the other way round. so if you are locked, back up like 3" and hit it you can blow it up from not being fully engaged. i went with OX.. it can be engaged/disengaged up to 150mph.
However, the guys at the shop couldn't verify that and recommended the e-locker over the ARB *if* I wanted to spend more money switching out the axle. I don't need the extra expense and I'll enjoy the OBA I'll get from going with ARB.

I've never read that. My friend has one in the rear of his JK. I thought it was good to go under like 3mph...

in my opinion...
detroit is the best auto locker.
ox is the best selectable locker.

I looked around quick and couldn't find it. I think it was on pirate.
Regardless, I'm very happy with my OX and would love to have one out back too but it's too much $$$ to convert my 60 to full float and then add the locker.
