Todays i love my jeep moment!
The route to my Dads house takes you on a 2 lane through Death Valley from Baker, Ca to Pahrump, Nv. It's about a 2 hour stretch. About halfway through, there was a work crew doing roadwork, with traffic backed up both ways. So after about 5 minutes, I got out of my jeep to see what was goin on. They were trying to negotiate a huge metal plate on the center of the road. Needless to say, nobody was moving for a while. Well, except me
with nothing surrounding the hwy other than the desert, I don't think I had any other choice! Saw some people shaking their heads, but a lot of thumbs ups!! I love my Jeep!
What's your Jeep story?

A few weeks back I was driving around an area I used to live seeing how much it had changed.
I came to a road which had a sign stating "unsuitable for motor vehicles",well I thought you can get out the other end of this track back onto a paved surface,
so thinking Im in a jeep, ignore the sign.
So with my two rotties in the back drooling over the windows off I set,at first seemed great, got further along and I started to slide around to the point the floor of jeep seemed wedged on the now wet long grass growing out of the thick mud.
I looked ahead, looked back and thought just go for it.I put it into 4WD and with the aid of careful steering floored it and managed to get to the end of the track, only to find concrete bollards along my exit.
Doh! what do I do now no room to turn or avoid concrete posts,I had no choice but to reverse the length I had already travelled.
So off I set looking out rear window between my dog's heads and the now steamed up window,as it was warm and had recently had heavy downpour.
Managed to get most way when stop,my tyres were skinny 195's I could just about open the door to assess my stuck'ness mmmmmm Don't look good, thoughts of the police turning up and tractors having to drag me out, question as to why I was on this stretch of don't use road,I started to sweat and think of options.
Couldn't think of options so, in for a penny in for a pound got back into the seat and revved rocking back and forth until traction could be found.
Oh joy when traction bit In and I hurtled back towards the start of the track,I climbed out looked at my now caked in mud jeep, and smiled thinking to myself I made a good choice in purchasing my 1997 2.5 td red jeep.(Massey) named
after the tractors massey ferguson, because it sounds like one (diesel) its red, likes going off road and will pull anything.
