So i am making a bumper for my jeep right now out of some 18 g (might be 16) metal, and its turning out pretty stout. Costs me about 30$ to make. so with labor and material costs (tools, welding wire, etc) ill make and ship them (within reason) for 100$. Not painted. If you want anything special pm me and we can figure something out. Ill get pics today or tomorrow and post them up. It's nothing special and won't bust a brick wall but will hold up to a bit. Still making it, about half way done but of anyone is interested let me know what you think. Can also provide one today you can weld yourself if you want. That will be cheaper, about 50$.

18 is thinner than stock bumpers so if they bought your bumpers, it would be considered downgrading

I looked it up, its .049 and 3/16 is .188. Its roughly 3.5 times thinner than 3/16. I honestly dont see this practical for use.

That's too thin to be an upgrade over stock. I wouldn't try mounting a winch to it, or really use it for recovery at all.
Nothing against your idea, just need to build them strong, 1/4 - 3/8" steel would work great.

I don't completely remember what size it is ill have to find my receipt but the guy said it was about 1/8" steel sheet. Ill look though. Like i said it was left over sheet from when i did my chopped top. If i can find 3/16 for a good price ill make bumpers outta that i just wanted to use up the old steel I had lying around and keep myself from getting pulled over no bumper lol

I assume this is just for a custom look. Not for anything more than a bumper.

Sounds like more of a cosmetic upgrade, but I still want to see the pics, sounds good.
