I'm running the 44/60 combo. Wasn't my first choice but what I could afford at the time. Hope it's real light mud and you don't dog it cause I've broken chromos in my front on 38s. Also snapped a set of ball joints on one of my last trips. 40s are a bit much for a 44. Even though it has 8 lug outters it's still a half ton axle.

Swapped the front yoke with one from a D30, same spline count, and the rear had a bastard joint till I broke my drive shaft and had a new one built. Plan on having the rear shaft shortened a good bit.

The yoke on a D30 and D44 are interchangeable.
