They have them, they are just very expensive from what I have seen. Banks make one, so do a few other companies. They run about $450 though. I thought about it and decided it wasn't worth it, unless I cracked my stock exhaust manifold.

The header for a 99 will have only one outlet collector. The 00-01 Cherokee have a dual outlet header.

I have a stainless steel Edelbrock header (#65933) for sale that is the correct one for 00-01 XJ's. No mods need to be done to your stock exhaust system. Just bolt it on and go.

This is NOT a rusted out dinged up POS. This thing is near new having only been on for less then 2 weeks when the Jeep was stolen. Surprizingly the engine was still in it when it was recovered.

If you are interested I can e-mail you some pictures of it.

Thanks
Dennis

If you have the california emissions package (3 cats) then no, a 99 won't work without a lot of illegal to talk about custom work. If you are lucky and don't have the cali package I'm pretty sure a lot of the 99 headers will work if you change the downpipe. As far as bolt ons go here is a link to a good thread : http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/a...ffered-502290/

FWIW,
The 00-01 TJ headers fit 00-01 XJ's.

I dont live in California... so why would it be illegal?

Modifying the emissions system is not legal anywhere if fails to meet the requirements set by the EPA. Where you live doesn't matter at all.

Actually, 00-06 TJ headers are the same as 00-01 XJ's.
