I can add this concerning the title of this thread.....

Brakes:

I've seen drum and disc brakes, drums and discs break, but never drum or disc breaks.

when the drum and disc brakes broke, why didn’t you look at the breaks on the brakes?

i see what you did, turbo.

and to answer the question in the misspelled title - no. ive give as long as 25k miles with nothing more than oil changes. i think that’s good for an xj with 200k+ miles on it.
