Anyone else have a hard time swapping out the fog lights?

Default Anyone else have a hard time swapping out the fog lights?

I recently bought some new fog lights and was trying to install them without removing the front bumper, NO LUCK. since this is my DD i really dont want to pull the bumper and suggestions?

It wasn't easy but I was able to do it on an 87 that I used to have. I forgot exactly how it did it tho.

I got some bumper mounted ones from walmart for 10 dollars each. So I removed the stock ones, cut the wires, and capped them to the new lights wires. The only problem I ran into was that jeep decided to make the black wire positive, not ground. But once I got that straightened out, they work and look great.

@bam, That info would sure come in handy
@OOdy, lol I cant even get them mounted. I hope I dont have to remove the bumper, cant find anything about it on here. its my DD and texas requires a front license plate.

take the license plate off and throw it behind the windshield for a day or if it has to be by the bumper zip tie it to something.

may have to but new issue popped up so lights have to wait. so i recently put a/c in my xj and it was niiiice for 2 days then outta the blue it starts idling rough and under normal acceleration it shakes pretty good but under moderate acceleration it stops shaking but lacks power.....

i was able to get it too, you have to get the wrench in there, then your hand and feel around for the nut, its hard
