Thinkin about some custom dual side dumps that exit angled behind the rear tires.. Anybody have this, lets see some pics? How does it sound. Recomendations on mufflers? Thanks a bunch

to tell you my honest opinion, thats a lot of work and time that you will waste. that's something you do to a lifted fullsize pickup or diesel. in an xj I think it would look dumb. but then again if you like it, it's right. good mufflers are a flowmaster 40's series, dynomax xj muffler, or for a cheap alternative a regular thrush muffler or a flowtech muffler. Your probably looking for loud deep sound so flowmaster, magniflow or you could even put on a glasspack(cherry bomb). I do know of anyone who makes a single in- dual out style muffler though so you might have to weld a custom "fork" in the single pipe.

as much as everyone complains that straight piping after the cat is bad and dumb, its really the only way to get your XJ actually loud...

Its pointless to run duel pipes on a xj, unless you get split headers. You will get much better flow and sound with a single outlet 2.5" exhuast system. Save ur money and get a nice cat, muffler and a 2.5" tail pipe
