Mark,

Good to see you didn't lose your life nor your sense of humor. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a suitable replacement of the Jeep.

Quote: Hey, folks. Haven't been around for a while for a number of reasons, but I decided to check in and post a picture of why I won't be around for a while. Ah gots no Cherokee. I got a fractured knee-cap instead.

Yeah, I think that's a total.

Some idiot pulled out in front of me when I was cruising down the highway @ 55. No time to do anything but nail the brakes, but it wasn't enough. Cherokee vs. old Suburban? Yeah, he won.

In the last 6 months or so I had just done the head gasket, lifters, oil cover gasket (Felpro), oil filter adapter gasket, water pump, t-stat, hoses, radiator, belts, tie rod ends, ball joints, rotors, pads, calipers, drums, shoes, battery cables (upgraded) and a few other miscellaneous things. Engine was running 145-150 compression on all cylinders.

Trans was on its way out, and I was getting a howl from the rear end, but otherwise, it was in good shape. I was planning to swap in the trans and rear axle from my 94 that I have been slowly parting out, but I guess I'll just finish parting it out, now.

A moment of silence, please.
Sorry to see that happen... although injured... glad you're still with us.

As for the Jeep... from the right angle.... I think that'll buff out. lol...

glad the healing is going the right direction, even if it does seem slow... it's still progress.

And the compound?... sure... sold by ACME in 5 gallon containers
Turns this:

Into this in just under 3 hours:

Of course like ANY product, actual results may vary. lol.

Lol... I missed this, That is hilarious. Have you been hanging out with the "Dream Bubble" folks a little too much up there? Careful... It rubs off... lol

And Mark, as you know the older we get the longer it takes to heal up from things like this. This reality has hit me up side the head a few times in the last several years.

Hehe. Sounds like my mom back in the 60s. She was driving our 48 Chevy sedan and got rear-ended by a pickup. Smashed the pickup pretty good. Dented her bumper.
