I don't have any pics my white 94 XJ had a wilson 5000 mag on the roof that worked wonders. on my new one I mounted behind the driver side tail light I built my own bracket out of 1/16 sheet metal

any particular kind of coax? case im looking at a pretty nice amount of coax cable but its internet/digital phone cable. from comcast. lol it even came with a splitter. but takes one and splits it into 2

Wouldn't it have to do with the radio transmitting over the 15 miles? You can turn up the gain on the receiving radio but too high will just pick up static.

For example, if your antenna isn't properly tuned to the cb and you have a high SWR you can and will fry the radio eventually if you transmit out.
I've spent many many hours reading information and talking with cb technicians and its paid off. I now have a perfectly performing cb and antenna with no issues, no engine noise, and almost no static (yes a little static is to be expected no matter what)
