Default All terrains or mud?

I'm not really sure which tires to get, I really like BFGoodrich Mud terrains but I feel that I would get more use out of the all terrains. My Jeep is my daily driver and my weekend wheeler when I can get my buddies to go out. Just can't decide which one to get

You could always go with an agressive AT tire like a Cooper AT3 but most of the mud tires out there are fairly quiet, have a good ride and wear well so other then the most aggressive Mud tires you should be ok.

BFG ATs will last longer than KM2s... but does 10k matter to ya?... Would you be happy with 30k outta KM2s... If you want more get ATs or stay on pavement

Looking at your profile pic if you do alot of commuting on snowy/icy roads AT may be better for you. Where I'm at I would not trade the extra grip the MTs give offroad over the extra life the ATs provide.

x2 MT tires usually aren't the best on snow packed / icy roads. Everyone I know hates driving their muds on ice and snow packed. They have to put their rigs on 4 wheel drive to get anyplace.

a good compromise is the new style goodyear MTR kevlar.
they use kinda half the tread as AT and half as MT.

I run GY wrangler duratracs, they have to be one of the more aggresive ATs, and theyre great on and off road. Here in albuquerque we dont get much snow or Ice but when we did, they saved me from an accident. I also use mine as a DD so I needed something to keep up on road as well as off. Plus I couldnt beat 700. if i go the gy mtrs

2x on the duratracs. Amazing in the snow, great off-road, and they wear slowly on-road. IMHO, they would be your best compromise.

x3. I have 33" AT's and they are great on the snow and ice here, but only if you get the snow flake rated ones with the extra siping. My brother bought a set of BFG AT's from a Canadian dealer that were not snowflake rated and had no extra siping, he was pissed. They sucked on ice. On the other hand I would def love a set of Duratracs. I know lots of fellas up here who swear by them. But the side wall is not as heavy duty as some other tires.

I wish KM2s were louder. I want people to know to get out of the way.

I don't have a huge amount of experience but in the last 2 years of wheeling with 10ish Jeeps I've seen 2 flat ATs on the trail and 0 flat KM2s. Now that's I've said that I'll be the first to flat a KM2 on the next trip.
