98 ZJ need opinions.
So i finally found a Jeep that i want to go get, thats 4x4. Its a 98 ZJ. Asking 1800. Only problem is the driver door wont close all the way because of headliner panel or something ( not a big deal ). From the sound of it its a fully loaded ZJ, v8, leather heated seats, digital gages, auto lights etc. one of my questions he said it was awd and 4x4, wasnt sure if ZJs were awd. and i looked at lifts and the 4" lift says it only fits 31's. Why is that when on a 4.5 on a xj you can fit almost 35s. Just wanted some opions on the price and the Zj .

some were available with full time 4wd, yes. I think it's a 249 transfer case. It's a bit of a pain from what I hear.
Not sure about the lift kit. Maybe they meant without trimming? I have a 4.5 lift and run 33's but had to trim the heck out of the fenders.
Sorry I'm not much help...

Yeah all the V8 zj's have the NP249 t case, which is all wheel drive. It ls a ****ty one but that's why ya swap it.
You can put what ever size tires you want, just depends on how much you wanna bumpstop and cut.
I have had a stock zj on 32's, 2" lift with 33's,and I am putting 40's on my zj with 5-6" of lift once the tons are in.
