I've seen a minivan on a truck frame when I was offroading.

Maybe the OP should try swapping his body onto something's frame and drift that? It'd at least keep him out of trouble, off the road (not drifting), and hopefully from killing himself or others while attempting to drift.

So is seriously trying to drive a Cherokee, but this thread has lasted how many pages?

I've seen tons of cool, custom off road rigs. I dunno if it was here or Wranglerforum where someone custom built a road grater into a 6 wheel drive sand rig.

I also saw on TV a mini van with a rocket engine.

Why does anyone do anything different? To try new things. To be unique.

I understand people want to be unique, but drifting a Cherokee just isn't a good idea. Physics are against you. You want to drift something with a low center-of-gravity so it doesn't flip over.

If your jeep is flipping just sell it. It would be dangerous to ride.

As long as you're drifting on a slippery surface it's not likely to tip or break anything however auto boxes, excess weight and LSD make it a less than ideal Drifter.
You'd have more fun in a $600 beat up S13. I had a Miata once and that was a good little drifter, I also had a Z32TT and that was just superb sideways!

My current C4 is about as useless a drifter as my XJ.

But then the XJ is nothing short of unstoppable off road.
My C4 err… 360’s like a pole dancer on the track.

Everything has its place… The right tool for the right job and all that…
