97 cherokee sport drift
^ sorry but that is a dumb comment. I think this OP is got it lost but telling him to buy a Honda and get some rice is just ignorant...
rice is not synonymous with import.
Honda sells one car currently that one could use for drifting, and that's the S2000 (the NSX doesn't count)

I think what s14unimog was saying was that Honda does not make a RWD car, thus they're useless for drift... with the exception of the S2000, which I believe is no longer in production. Therefore, your post about buying a Honda for drift makes little sense, and even less sense given the fact that I've never seen one for sale at Wal*Mart.
He was also pointing out that the word 'rice' when used as a derogatory automotive term, is generally used to mean a slow, ugly car with a bunch of stupid cosmetic upgrades and an obnoxious muffler. Which seems to describe more Cavaliers and lifted trucks (including Jeeps) around my area than imports. 'Rice' has come to define an entire subset of questionable modifications, no longer limited to imports.
For example, this is domestic rice:

I love my XJ something fierce, but sometimes domestic fanboys irritate me.
This thread should go away now.

I would agree that there are some XJ's that could fit this category, i.e. people who mod their XJ's just for the looks, but the term used for this is "mall crawler".

WHHOOA....DEFIANTLY NOT TRUE. YOU MAY FLIP. you must know your drifting technique in order to maintain control. i have drifted my 2wd Cherokee with the stock tires and a 3.5 in lift kit on a dry surface. it was on the on ramp for the highway. the car did not even attempt to flip.. just try to power-slide i guess. JUST DONT RIPP THE E_BREAK. lol

i like ur idea. i love drifting. infact i love imports, musclecars and offroad truck. i will admit civics are not the best cars for drifting.
Imports aren't the "Asian" brands anymore. Its the US brands that are imported.
No kidding!
