91 XJ driver side seat bracket needed
Hello all, new here and searched all over. I found great info on different seats and modifictions, but searched hi and low for a seat bracket for my 91 laredo. The seat bracket is rusted and Im not sure if I need to replace the entire seat (bracket included) or can just find a bracket for the seat.
I can find any bracket available except a bracket listed for the 91 Cherokee Laredo!!!
can anyone please help and point me to a link or location to find what I need to repair this thing! I want to get er back out in the mud!!
thanks all!!!

A pic would help.
That said, go get one from a junkyard complete.

I wish it were that easy....I tried. Seems to be a common problem with 91 XJ driver seats. Thats why I was hoping for a 'replacement' that would fit. or certain seat mounting bracket.
Heres a pic below (front view) . Im going to temporarily bolt an angle iron onto it (might be permanent) lol I would really like to get a couple replacement seats in there though.
Any other help?

Okay, it came from underneath?
Bear with me as I live in Arizona. We don't know what rust is. That is unless it's the kind that comes from the sun burning the paint off first.
No junkyards around?

Thanks for the link Cheddarnut...I saw that one ealier. My seat is fine...I just need a bracket or another type that will fit or swap out. If I need to buy a new seat to match a different bracket thats fine, I just want to get it replaced.
For now, Im going to mount an angle iron to the front and bolt the seat down to it. Hopefully someone can let me know a seat bracket that will fit or I'll find one in my searching.
Thanks again!

If you can't find one in a DIY junk yard, search on the car-part.com used parts interchange. This is the same database body shops use when sourcing parts for wrecked vehicles.
I just did a quick search for front seat tracks for 1989 to 1994 and came up with four pages of results ranging from $25 up to $280. There were also a lot of unpriced listings. You may want to sort the list by geographic area and call the yards closest to you first to see if they're willing to sell you one for a reasonable price, but even if you find one out of area, most of them are willing to ship.

Great info extrashaky! Thank you for taking the time to help! much appreciated.
And to all others who responded..Andrewmp6, I did hear 94 back would work, and that the bracket changed in 95. - Thanks for the input.
Its odd that the rest of the floorboard isnt rusted through...just that side bracket is chewed away. As Neil Young put it 'rust never sleeps'
On to my search...
