Default '91-94 XJ Changes - Any Info?

As the title says, I'm interested in changes through the years from '91-94. Specifically, I'm curious about 4.0L 2WD model differences.

Anybody have info to share?

Regarding what exactly? Suspensions all the same.

Brake light on the hatch was added in 94
Steering wheel looks different on the 91-92 I think

Can't think of anything else right off the too of my head.

Anything worth noting. I may be making another XJ purchase in the Spring after I sell the Camaro. I want something I can tag historic, but I don't want another Renix. That leaves '91-94, and I'm curious about any changes in that range that may affect my selection.

I know vacuum disconnect was used into '91, but that doesn't matter with a 2WD model. There was an internal reinforcement added to the doors in '95 to strengthen them. I just don't know much about the years I listed.

Nothing is coming to mind for me...

I believe they are all relatively similar.

It'll either be a DD or my backup vehicle, depending on whether or not I enjoy driving it more than the YJ lol. I like having my CEL, though, so I'll stick with an OBDI model.

All I can come up with is that the class-action lawsuit for piston slap didn't really get rolling until '93-'94 and it was discovered that the bores were out of spec, leading to a settlement, fixed machine, and some fixes in '95 like extra bracing.

Maryland allows Historic tags for vehicles 20 model years or older. If I buy in the Spring, it'll be up to a '94.

**** Renix. I spent more than a year chasing problems in my Comanche that, after replacing out-of-tolerance sensors, I decided was due to a bad wiring harness. For a street-only rig, I want a check engine light to reference; not an "I think I heard a weird noise, now where's my multimeter?"

OBD-II is too modern to fall into the Historic realm, and I don't want to go through the bull**** that Maryland requires for inspection and emissions.
