Default 4x4 ?

i just picked up a jeep for $300 aka project new life and put it in 4wh and i herd the jeep shift but the no part time or full time light came on? how do you cheak the 4wh and low? and is there any sensors i need to change? any ideas?

you will realize when your driving if its on or not the wheels will bind up if your on street

it will also be harder to turn, the jeep will want to go straight

i dont think that the t case is bad cuz it is the only thing under my jeep that wasnt muddy or dirty it looked new if i put a camra under my jeep to see if the front drive shaft is movien in 4x4 would that work?

That will work, or find some mud and see if your front tires throw mud from a standstill. Just put it in 4H and hit the gas hard enough to spin the tires.

put it in 4wh and reverse, punch the gas and hold to the floor for a second. You will spin like crazy in 2wd, 4wd will put your head into the stearing wheel.

And make sure you have a camera recording in the pass seat. so we can see.

Bwahahaha, coffee just shot out my nose!!!

It's true though, that's when I discovered how easy my auto shifter handle pops off. I went flying backwards (didn't hit my face on the wheel, but that sounds damn funny!) & when I stopped real fast, the shifter came off.

I have to remember that when I'm wheeling, don't depend on the shifter for a firm handhold!
