Default 35s on 3.55

okay so i recently purchased some brand new 35in goodyear mt/r kevlars. i have my stock gears. i ran 33in tires before this, so i was used to that. my question is how much difference will i see from going to 33s to 35s? both on and off the trail if it helps the tires are only 35 mt/rs are only 6pounds heavier than my old 33's.

another one of these threads? people do 35's and say it's "do-able" or it's "not that bad." liars. I've driven both geared and non geared and it's aweful. the transmission will make you sweat. it's a complete dog on the road and I'd be scared to take it up and down some hills on the freeway. I can't imagine how much gas is wasted going from stopped to driving speeds

you didn't need to post this thread multiple times either

I hate the stock gearing on my 32's, I couldn't imagine driving with 35's. Put some gears in it if you're going that tall.

And to think.............I thought it was bad going from 29" up to 31" with the stock 3.55 gearing...............
I got 3.73 assemblies going under it to help a little.......I plan on re-gearing to 4.10 when I switch to 33's

One of the officers of TBAJA has 35s with 3:55 gearing. He says it doesn't really feel terrible. He even has a Dana 35 rear. He also said he hits 80 with no problem.

I run 33's with my 3:55 gears.

I can't believe you guys. I'm running 33's with 4.56's and it feels slow, even while running spray.

I can't recall if he installed a locker or not. He was definitely going to.

He didn't have long arms.

fixed it for you.

having a jeep on 35s and stock gears is just plain dumb. if you're going to run 35s at least build the jeep to handle them (unless you just mall crawl )

Okay, this is not at all what I started this thread for, but just to clarify, you said open/open on stock shafts. I just wanted to let you know, you could run 35's open/open on stock shafts, with zero problems, even on a d35. Anyway's it doesn't matter, there is no reason to talk crap. So stop

Lots of hate here, I have 33s with stock everything except 2" bb lift just to get me by until I can get my fullsize axles under it with leaf over axle in front conversion whic I had planned on doing from beginning, but I hated the look of the stock whimsy tires and lowness, I am not saying it is fast or tourqy, and If I planned on keeping my axles I'd regear them, but I can't afford it right now. Yes it sucks and is slow, but I don't get stuck as much!
Okay, rant mode over, just dont like people hatin on people who can't afford shiny new axles geared to the moon right away
