Man law....it's 4X2, not 2X4. A 2X4 is a piece of wood.

well i guess thatll be good in the end anyways as the 8.25 is stronger.

as for the 2wd, put a 231 case and a hp dana 30 with 4wd in it and make it a real jeep

I would need a new trans also. This thread I'd for ppl with 2wd jeeps if you don't have any helpful Input on improving or talking about 2wd jeeps then you can see your way out. I'm not saying that I wouldn't like my jeep to be 4x4 but its not cost effective right now. It is still a jeep.

My jeeps good on the trails... Terrible in the mud and snow though, in the middle of gathering parts for my 4x4 conversion.

Dont listen when they say sell it and start with a 4x4... Your jeep is YOUR jeep stick with it til the end!!!

In addition to a autolocker, a pair of tires make a big difference in how axle torque gets transferred to whatever road/off road surface/conditions.

2wd 2door checking in. The 2wd's are a rare group and they are just as much fun here in Florida. I have been on some pretty good trails and not had much trouble with mine. Just finished my RC 3" lift as well. Playing with the idea of the conversion but, I like the idea of beating 4x4's on the trails with a 2wd. After reading and watching this thread I will be going to get the lockers though. Thanks and good luck. Here she is...
