Wow that thing is ugly. I don't understand how they could call that an offroad capable rig..my mom's rav could do the same thing. I'm never gonna buy new, just stick with the used jeeps back when they were actually made like Jeeps.

What are you talking about? Trophy trucks, buggy s, open, all those run independent suspension.. The set up is usually I.s up front and solid in the rear..

Now another question. Why don't we see any offroaders running portal axles? I can think of heavy, expensive, hard to get, more complex, but that normally doesn't stop the 1%ers from doing it. Clearly there's a picture I just posted but I had to actually search for portal axle.

I know they're not humvees. It was 2 different thoughts but only 1 sentence. My bad.

Oh sure. These newer Grand Cherokees are great for city cruising and nice on snowy roads, but their not the off-road vehicle that they used to be; or that some people still think them to be. It's just kind of sad to see what was a perfectly good off-road rig get turned into this street bound cross over.

'scuse me lad, the original Cherokee was basically a J-10 truck with a cap. It had Dana 44s front and rear with permanent 4WD.
