Haha I hate it too! But its gonna happen whether we like it or not. It was supposed to be my next new vehicle, keeping my XJ for the trails and getting a WK1 SRT8.

Nope...if we ignore it, it'll just go away. if we ignore it, they'll realize that they screwed up by using the "Cherokee" name.
I know that when I heard of it and saw photos, I sent an email to Jeep and told them that they were going to **** off a lot of die-hard Cherokee fans. That they'd cause more problems than they'd make money by selling that turd.

You may as well just have a sub-forum on here like the ones for the Grand Cherokee. People already get confused when they log in from outside the USA because the Cherokee name has been in constant use since the XJ in overseas (to the US) markets.

I don't think any forum should be made, and I think a subforum here would be a bigger disgrace. As scottmphoto mentioned, if we all ignore it together, it will go away. Discourage people from buying it, and they won't have a reason to produce it anymore. It's how the marketplace works.

If you want to ignore it, ignore it. So far in history people simply ignoring problems has worked out. The issue in the forum is different than the market.
For those that want to be proactive I say you suggest KLforum.com for the simple reason that it directs the poster to a source with information and it doesn't acknowledge the use of "Cherokee" for the poopy-pants who don't want to accept it.
I think everyone needs to accept that the majority of vehicles, yes even Jeeps, bought today will not go truly offroad.
