Default 1998 parts jeep worth $250?

Aloha guys and gals! I have a 1992 auto 4x4 that runs great but being old, i often wonder how long the major parts will last. I found a 1998 auto 4x4 xj for $250, complete sans the radiator and battery. I am wondering ifthere are enough parts to cross over to make it worthwhile for me to buy and figure a way to tow it. Any advice will be welcomed.

I recently sold a 2wd '98 XJ I took the engine, transmission, rear 8.25 axle, and all the interior with the exception of the dashboard. Sold the rest to a local junkyard for $225 and they picked it up.

In other words jump on it!

Just wondering... If the mirrors are in good condition would you be willing to sell them to me when you get it?

I feel ya. After the 4th XJ I dragged home my wife didn't talk to me for a few days. It was well worth it though.

Worth her not talking to you for a few days, or the parts XJ? or Both?

Yeah get it!!!!! Even if there's nothing good on it, you can take it to a scrapyard or a u-pull type location and get at least that much back out of it

For $250 it'd be home. Besides your wife, you might want to make sure you have room to tear it apart. I'd also check your local codes to make sure you won't have the county being called by your neighbors.
