i did this on a racecar i built.. then eventually took the AC out but anyway heres how you do it. i took a piece of dental floss and slid it sideways under a top pully between the belt and pully wheel real tight so it would hold, then i took the rest and ran it around all the other pullys back to my starting point (leaving out the ac of course). then cut there. you messure your string for the length. but be sure you dont count the portion of it that you wedged at the top first. now take the measurement to an autoparts store. tada!

Thanks for your reply. Though I did get laughed at from autozone and carquest. After the good laugh, one kind employee said "you would have to modify" and then my attention was brought onto this fine looking lady. So in the end I did not modify anything, got a cuties phone number and had to buy a new A/C Comp. and belt.
String theory was a good try but a no go, however, I can't thank you enough for putting me in a position to meet who I did.
