1998 jeep cherokee sport

Hey im new to the forum im looking for some help. I have a 1998 jeep cherokee sport 5speed manuel my jeep is having trubble shifting it will not go into Reverse at all it will some times shift if i get lucky. when its cold it will shift a little the cluch gos all the way to the floor. I dont know if its the master cylender slave cylender or cluch. Some people have told me that somthing in the trans is busted but im thinking its the slave cylender or cluch. Just looking for some in put on how i should go about this.

I would park on a steep downhill street somewhere and kill the engine.. With your foot on the brake, put it in 1st (it will shift into gear with the engine off and just sitting there, yes? if not, let off the brake just a little so it slips in gear) Now in gear, let off the brake.. engine compression should prevent it from rolling. Now push the clutch pedal down. Does it disengage enough to let it roll? If not, i'd say one of the clutch cylinders is the problem. Look for leaks, make sure it has enough fluid, maybe it can be bled, maybe the mount broke, I dunno, that's what i'd try.
