10" Sub, Cubby Install!
Ok I started installing a 10" Kicker Sub in the cubby hole a couple days ago. It's not completely done yet cuz I need to trim around it to seal up the gaps. I am really surprised at the sound this setup puts out. I wanted some lows without losing any storage in the back do to going riding and hauling coolers, helmets,Etc. If anyone is interested in a setup like this pM me.

Same plan
I used a cubby from a wrecked jeep for the back
It's covered in black vinyl now. Sounds good and doesn't get in the way of all the bowhunting gear.

Nice work man, thats pretty sweet, make sure we get some pics when its finished, also are you going to put some sort of steel grate over it so it doesnt get ruined when your hauling stuff back there?

I like it, I have 2 10s sitting in a massive box that is taking up way too much room. I think I am going to try something like this. That cubby hole is where my electronic crossover is now, but it can be moved.

To get the air for the one ten I made the box go all the way till it was touching the inside of the body. It is a pretty good job to make the box like that. THe only bad part is the angle going up. You could just back off and shoot a straight piece up through there but I wanted to get all the air space I could in there.

I did mine just a little different, I made a box just like the spare tire and put a shallow mount 12 inch sub in. The box was a little time consuming, but the result is worth it in every way! I made a carpeted cover just like the spare tire cover to conceal the box and sub.

Those rattle like no other also. I can do alot better sounding box than those for less money also. Them rattle and only have about 0.4cuft and thats at the max. You will just get punchy sound and alot of rattles with those. Mine mount to the inside metal behind the cubby,.Box is rock solid in there and guess what, No one can steal it unless they have alot of tools with them!

Yeah, they sell them for the right side, but on the downside is they are a.b.s. plastic and have an 8" hole so the bass would be mediocre at best. A custom enclosure would result in better performance if you would like it.
