ZJ CB attenna mount
Kinda sorta fab, I am making it even though it's not a big project. I didn't want a run of the mill bumper/taillight mount. Since I dumped the radio so I could install my cb in the space I didn't need the radio attenna. So geuss where the CB attenna will go.
Just after welding and grinding.
Mock up of wher I will be placing it. I will have a backe plate that the mount will attach to behind the fender. more to come.....

I wanted it strong. I'll be using a 4' firestick with a spring. Plus it's a great project for a begining welder. Yesterday I had two tabs pop off on a drop test I did. I didn't have any penetration with the weld. So I'll try again in a few min., maybe turn the heat up some.

CB attenna mount
Here is where I am now;
I know the welds are pretty darn fuggly, but I'm getting much needed practice. My welder went on the fritz this morning. The contact tip got clogged and I don't have any tip cleaners. So I have to get some tip cleaners and some spare contact tips.

I got tied up working alot of OT, but I did get my welder fixed, which is good. I decided to do a drop test on my mount and two of my tabs popped off, no penotration. I have tomorrow off so I'll reweld the tabs and get the thing mounted on the ZJ.
