I decided to start. Building my winch bumper ...I have seen. Several threads about it..so I'm making my own ..I used my commercial construction skills ..lol hope u guys like it.

I started with a 10 ft 16 gauge metal track ..for those of u who aren't familiar with this.
It is metal used in commercial structures.. so trust me it's very resistant.

Well it's actually my "skeleton!" For it cuz I'm covering it with 1/4 in steel plating. And depending on how u build it makes it stronger..let me show u..ill continue with the pics

That's where it came from and what's left ..I don't have a plasma cutter so I used several grinder cutting blades.
Because as I mentioned its thick *** steal 1/4 inch

That left over strip of metal plating will be cut and welded under and across the front part of the bumper to make it stronger ..for using my high lift Jack

And here is the plate welded to the top..I still need to finish grinding to get a clean product ..I had a little spray paint left over from another project ..so I used a little just to give u an idea of how it will look finished
