Before I weld I just grab the angle grinder and go over it a few times. If it starts to spark I try to do a little more grinding before my next weld.

Oh okay just wondering. I know I usually try to wire to bare metal then wipe with acetone

Nice rack!! Lol.. Seriously going to try and copy your design. If you were going to do it over again, would you stick with same gauge or thicker? And do you have a cut list you wouldn't mind sharing? Awesome job though!

Naw the gauge is plenty thick for my application. Other than what's posted in this thread, I don't have any lengths. I could probably grab some if you tell me what else you need.

It looks pretty meaty, but I used some thin wall stock, so it is still pretty light.

All these racks just have me drooling....... lol so am reading correct most of the metal if you have to buy it is around 60-80$ unless you find some laying around?
