Do you have plans/drawings for the bumper?

Yes, a build or plans, something would be so cool! That is the nicest XJ bumper I have ever seen. I need to copy it one day when I learn how to weld. I have a book on welding now and have been teaching myself Turbocad and started a bumper project. It's going slow.

How much did the metal cost (just the metal, no latches) and where did you buy it? A steel yard or something?

Hey thanks for the comment! I will try to get a drawing with measurements this weekend. Welding definetly is something that takes time to learn. Read up and then make the investment and just start playing around and have fun. We have a small wire feed welder from home depot which runs gas less flux cored wire. It works great for building bumpers! I am in a welding course at school. Total cost for that last pic there was about 80 bucks not including welding wire. However building my tire swing cost another 140. Here in Denver we have a large steel supplier open to the public.

Cad is also a great way to go. I've had 2 years working with solid works. I wish i had it on my own computer!
