Anyone fabricate a swing out tire carrier with Jerry cans, adventure trays, etc??
Thinking out loud...
If the swing out carrier's hinge was on the drivers side and the bottom of the Jerry cans were mounted above the gas filler door...
then you could swing the gas cans around to just above the filler door and transfer gas into the tank by using a rattle siphon hose. All done without even lifting or removing them from their trays!!
No smelling like gas, no gas on the ground, no lifting heavy gas cans and a fast refueling (next to mid-air refueling...).
I'd like to see what anyone has come up with...

That's kinda funny... I was laying in bed thinking about something just like that the other night! My idea was to have the cans be able to rotate horizontal in their rack so you could just use the donkey d*** that attaches to the can... I like your idea better.
Simpler and less fabricating/moving parts.
You build it and I'll copy it... ok? heehee!

I really like this bumper. I have seen plenty of others while looking for one for me and they all seem to stick off the back of the truck way to damn far. This is perfect!

I used to carry my gas cans on the roof rack in order to siphon gas in to the tank.
But they looked like hell and were constantly getting hit by low slung branches. And refilling them at the pumps was a pain!
All of the swing out carriers go towards the passengers side... not much thought. Who cares if it swings into traffic? I don't go into the big city much except to buy ammo.

Genius man, pure genius... while we thank you for sharing this idea and we're all scratching our chins and saving up for implementation, you probably should have kept that in your head and sold it to a fab company... lol j/k.... seriously though, that's an awesome idea...
