i used the same miller 212 at my work. we had problem with the miller wire feeder cable and replace with PROSTAR. i really like prostar over the miller.
im not sure if it's the installation or cable itself on the prostar that is bigger over the miller. either or it lays nice beads.

contact tip, prostar on left miller on right.

Yes, for FCAW you should be dragging.

DenimDean, have you made sure you are using the right polarity for the wire? You should be able to check on the manuf. website if you should be running DCEP or DCEN. Usually for FCAW it will be DCEN (although I'm only speaking from experience with thick steel >1/2" and wire 5/64").

More practice...and definitely needed! I probably should be using .035 wire for this. 3/8 and 1/2" steel

Looks good man! What size wire are you using? You should try to stop/start less tho. Also, from the pic (which is super small on my phone) it looks like you need a little more heat

Newbie welder here, just started a few days ago. Anywho, here's a pic of one of my beads. What do you all think? It sort of looks like my circles/e patterns are smaller than most of yours, should I slow down and make wider circles?

Thanks

Looks good! Your beads look fine, just try to stay as consistent as possible and keep practicing
