Not too bad for my first time...needs work, but hey, for a first ever attempt, I'm happy.

Once I start getting better I'll change positions, then the real fun begins...best part is I got paid to do it, LOL

I also found out today a lot of aluminum work is heading my way, something I have little experience in...so bring it on, getting paid while improving skills is always OK

Here is my first attempt at welding, 90amp flux core. Cut off stock swaybar brackets and attached JKS brackets with gussets that are 2" taller. Also mini skids.
The important thing is, it's non-structural. lol

have a question about mig welders. about to buy a new unit because my miller finally gave up the ghost after 8 years of heavy use and abuse. I was looking at the Everlast powermig 140e MIG/Flux 110v unit, Hobart Handler 140 and the Tweco Fabricator 141I. I mainly leaning towards the Tweco be its a multi process unit, MIG/Flux, Stick and option of Tig, price is a killer deal and the versatilty helps

out of those mentioned, i would also go with the tweco fabricator.
i have the thermal arc fabricator 210 which is made by tweco. my spool gun that came with it is also a tweco.

i would also stay away from the everlast. not because i know the owner, but because it is made in china with crappy parts. good price, but you do get what you pay for.

as for the hobart handler, i've heard nothing but good things about those welders, so that would be another choice.

cool, thanks. my buddy has an everlast and swears up and down by it. I like that it doesnt have the stepped voltage. my old lady said go ahead and spend the extra money for the tweco.

I've posted in here a little while ago asking for some advice. Basically I have no experience but I'm willing to learn and I'd rather start with something I know will last and is not too cheap so I regret not getting something better.

There's this deal going on right now at my local hardware store, would that be good?
