I have come to figure out that wide flat weld bead and just smooth out the bead and not grind it flat may do the trick. Been workin with one wheel and that's what I'm trying now

i have looked most pages searching for what beadlocks are really for , but i dont think there is someone better to ask than some one who even made them , i read that they are used to keep the tires coming out of the wheels when the jeep is crawling on sides im i right??

Mostly for ppl who drop the air pressure way down. Ten pound or maybe even less. Enables the tire to grip better if it can fold around an object instead of just a part of your tire hitting. The bead lick allows for the air pressure to be dropped way down and not worry about the tire running off the rim

I found that welding in my garage (door closed) can get a bit rough, but sometimes (michigan winter) thats your only choice.

Well as you can see in the pic I went back over all the way around the ring and run another bead. This time I went a half inch wide and just ground it smooth but left it built up. This fixed the leak problem and also stiffened up the ring so it does not come as bad. Just have to bolt the last tire on now and u will post pics if it in the sunlight tomarrow! I can't wait I'm so glad it's done
