The only issue I see is with the single bolt attaching the bracket to the factory mount ( the way you have it that bolt takes all the load). I would say to drill it out to at least a 3/4" grade 8 bolt...minimum! Other than that it should work just fine. Just don't be doing any auto crossing with it... :0

Thanks for the advice. I figured that would be answer i would get. The bolt that you are referring to is a 1/2" grade 8 bolt. I thought it would be strong enough but a 3/4" is deffinitely a good idea. The end of the bar is actually the bushing end off of another bar that i cut and welded with a sleeve over the weld.

1/2" definitely is a little weak in my opinion. There is a lot of forces on that particular setup. If/when you upgrade to the 3/4" bolt...add a steel locking nut to it too! If a 3/4" bolt will not fit (because the head of the bolt is contacting the track bar) then try a 5/8" bolt!

I would agree with a bigger bolt. but it could also twist/pivot on the bolt. idk...
I would just get a bracket like this and be done... but thats me.

I will deffinitely upgrade to a bigger bolt. As buying a bracket, i would like to get a new bar and bracket but money is very tight and that will have to wait. This design only set me back $23 because i already had other track bars to cut and i had the steel for the bracket.

I would think having the upper bushing at that angle would create some binging
though I could be wrong, I wanna do something like that too.

I dontsee why it wouldnt work, but I wee plenty of reasons why it will fail. One the welds on the bracket.. dont look like they are equal on both plates. Also looks like 1/8 or 3/16ths for plate definately not enough beef to hold the forces.
ON the TB the sleeve looks slightly questionable. No plug welds, and never stated how far is sleeved into the extension. As a rule you need at least 3x the diameter of material in a sleeve/slug situation.
TO break it down.. if the TB is 1" in diameter you need at least 3" in the tube going both ways. Meaning your sleeve is short by about 4-6".
