No, I abandoned the idea of making a hidden winch mount to use behind a factory bumper. Not because of it's complexity but because I don't have the time to devote to it and I'm not sure how well it would sell. Making a hidden winch bumper is no more complicated than building what you're building now. If anything I'd say it's easier. If I ever get around to it all I have to do is drill a couple holes and mount my winch behind my bumper and I'll be done with mine. The only thing that's different is cutting out the cross member. (Which takes 10 minutes)

I really like the stubby bumper look. Mine has inch and a half extensions for a little body protection. The idea was to make the approach angle as good as I could. If I had had it made with more recess like yours, the approach angle would even be better. Looks great.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to cut my grill though but its not a big deal for me. I guess I'm going to add some side protection soon and some tabs
