39:3-79.1 Failure to equip bus, truck, or trailer with mud flaps $47 that's the closest I found. I'd have to ask around, if there is a law. I have the card officers use to tickets.

the thing is they dont inspect for that kinda stuff anymore in jersey. with last years rig i never got bothered. i never even got a bad look. my new rig is on fullwidths so we shall see how that does. heres what i was driving last year, no stability test sticker, no front plate, cracked windshield, tube doors, dumped exhaust and no flaps or flares.

It all depends on the testing location. For example places like cherry hill and vineland will fail it for sure, but Bridgeton and Deptford probably wouldn't. As for getting messed with the majority of locals and most state boys won't mess with you, but if a state trooper has a reason to pull you over and you don't talk to him like he craps lucky charms he will ticket you.

Ask me how i know

new jersey only checks emissions now. i just went thru inspection a couple weeks ago as a stocker with cut fenders. i saw a few vehicles that would never pass if the state hadnt been trying to save money.

Vineland just failed my dads Wrangler not long ago for a bunch of stuff, including failing the tilt test. Which is asinine because I have seen that Jeep in some serious crap and never roll over. NJ is such a joke.

Man I'm glad we only have to pass emissions here in Oregon to get new tags. I know there are laws that if the police don't have anything to do and want to be **** they can give out tickets but really don't see it happen much. We don't have all the other test things like that tilt test or anything lol.

Michigan is like Florida, no inspection at all. It's awesome! I grew up dealing with the inspection station in Vineland NJ and one of my happiest moments was seeing "Welcome to Florida!" where i pulled over and ripped off the inspection sticker.

I am glad Alaska doesn't have any of these crazy requirements to register a vehicle.
Glad the burrow finally did away with the emission test before being able to as well. That was such a bad program. I had to take the test way to many times to pass the test in my Cherokee because the thing over heated idling for the test because they would sit there and let it idle for like 10 minutes before they'd even start it while they'd sit there and do paper work. at $75 a test it got expensive. Yes I know the overheating is a problem and was remedied but at the time it was my daily driver and I needed a vehicle to drive to work in and I only had enough money to register it at the time, besides it would only overheat when idling even doing a slow crawl would keep it cool enough.

I can't wait to get up there. I'm STOKED.

I almost moved to the burrow to work for the PD, but they described it as being entirely too "remote" and expensive for my family lol

i dont know how he failed stuff besides tilt because my horn doesnt work and my low beams dont work on my head lights. i watched what they did. they plugged it in to the computer to check for cel. no sniffer test. then they drove it up and hooked the gas cap up and put a sticker on the windshield.

No, that was ticket info they can try to write it for. That's not even DMV. I have the list of NJ tickets.
