no take a look at the first post and you can see the 2 tabs that weld to the top.
they will utilize the stock shackle bolt.

id put a sleeve in those top tabs other wise when your torque it it will just crush. it would probably add a little strength too. the torque spec on those bolts is pretty high. welds look good.

Looks good man, but I would add some meat in between the top tabs. A sleeve would be nice, but it could even be a piece of flat bar to span the gap. A couple pieces of 3/16" seems tough in your hands, but will flex easily under the compression of the stock shackle bolt, and you won't get it tight enough.

I love to see young entrepreneurs getting into the game! Welcome to the 53%!

VERY WELL DONE! They look awesome. When I built mine all I had was a drill, some bits and a 4 1/2" angle grinder and some matching cut off wheels (Oh how times have changed.) They looks awesome! I can't say that enough

well i got all sortsa news.
good bad and ugly.

good news first i guess.
first three sets will now be 75 ea do to some flaws on my end.
there will be a bit of diy make it fit on your end.

first error on my part.
i welded them 3in apart outside to outside
i was supposed to weld them 2 5/8 outside to outside.
so i tapered them in a bit before adding a brace on top
they look like this now

the stock shackle box is 1/8in so wedging this in isnt a problem. just need a hammer or even open up the shackle box first with vicegrips and then just slide it in.

^^ pressed into the oem shackle box by hand

^^ hammered in.
( didnt take much, but once painted i would use vice grips and pre open oem shackle box as opposed to hammering the relocators in place )

imo its not really a problem, the fact that its wedged in may even make it more secure

once i got it in i found out some ugly news.
the holes arent lining up like supposed to.

^^ 3 of 3
all driver side pics ( figured passanger side was going to look the same. )

my error was just measuring and relying on measurements as opposed to tacking it up on the body and making sure all holes were lined up.
but all is still workable.
just need to drill out the holes on the frame rail to line up.
3 holes with a 1/2in drill bit. and 1 of the holes is 60% lined up already.

due to the fact that frame rail holes need to be moved i dont think this will work if you run a trailer hitch...?

i need to work out some kinks before i make anymore.

please let me know your opinions!

Honest mistakes makes honest workers. Keep at it. Once you get these figured out they will be a great product!

if i were you id just hack off those top mounts that go into the pockets then reallign them properly. i doubt anyone is gona pay a good amount of money for a product that doesnt fit properly. but at the same time you put alot of work and effort into those to just scrap them. thats why i personally would try and fix them. seems like all the problems relate to those upper mounts.

Yep, cut off the top tabs and put them in the right place, problem solved.

The 53% refer to the folks that actually pay income taxes, and therefore earn a living by going out, killing it, and dragging it home.

Ya i ended up coming to the same solution,
so i went at it yesterday got one top off
didnt take too long and didnt scar it up to bad that welds wont fix it.
but working on the second one i got out a new cutting disc and it blew up and now my angle grinder is seized shut...
going to craftsman today to see if they will fix it under warranty

i do plan on fixing these tho.

If this kind of thing was easy to do everyone would be doing it themself, great work keep it up. the more competition the better for all of us out there.
