When production starts...PM with Paypal info.

Also, I can't see any blue coloring showing the HAZ of the metal (other than the 1st pic). It could just be the pics though.
Based on the lack of blue color around the welds, the convex/rounded shape and height of some of the welds, and my limited experience/knowledge, I would say that the welds look just a wee bit on the cold side.. Its hard to tell by pics though.
Otherwise, I'd say it looks great! Its nice seeing another younger guy (18 here) on CF with some fab skills! Keep up the good work!

On that first weld, did you move the tip up/down/back/forward at all while welding? It looks like you just pulled the trigger and pulled it all the way without any other movement.

i mentioned that after the pic as well. it makes it easier to watch both sides of the puddle and get them to the edge without going to much over and creating a lot of grinding and sanding work, i did a smooth stringer bead that met both edges nice enough that i dont have to do any sanding or grinding. and that deff makes things a looott easier.
and idk you could be right. but i wanna remind you that im being tought by a journeyman welder whos been teaching for 43 years and welding for 60 years. and he helped me set the machine before hand.

all in all the welds dont look bad to me, and with the amount of welds on there i dont think a little to cold is gonna make much difference at all in the long run.
but i apprieciate the criticism, even if all it does is get me thinking its still something to check out next time.

or the stock not strip.
but i plan on going to picknpull soon
so ill double make sure that it will fit under trailer hitch.
which i assume is what will work,
if not then ill have some headaches to deal with then
loleither way im in the process of making 3 to start with.
one set for me and 2 sets for sale.
as for when they will be available..
well i need to wait till monday to finish welding it all up.
then monday ill bead blast, probly paint on tuesday morning as long as wether permits ( may wait till wednesday and blast and paint then )
and from there i just have to double check each one on my jeep. and then they will be forsale.
so my guess as of now is going to be for sale next weekend?
but dont hold your breath, lol things could change. im working off my teachers schedule as well.
i think the welds look good definatly more then enough being welded on all sides but theres nothing wrong with that. i would have done it like that too. if your not 100% confident in your welds you might not wana sell them yet till you are. what are you gona do for the tops that go into the stock shackle location? i need to make me a set.

and the the tops will be welded on tomorrow
what exactly are you asking about them?
pics in my first post show what they look like and from there you can imagine.
