And reinstalled with latch. I eventually ended up putting some bolts through the sheet metal cause the self tappers through the plastic was not as strong as I thought lol

It's been a while, but I think I pulled the plastic panel partly off. Then bolted the box to it with the bolt head in the box, instead of the bolt ends like you have.

yea, I put a bolt going out of the sheet metal and put a nut on it to secure it in place, then put the plastic over that so I basically had two studs sticking out and bolted the box to that.

Got the heavy duty drawer sliders for mine today, only doing a 13" drawer though only planning on putting my ratchet and wrench set maybe a first aid bag in it.

Can you still use the cargo cover, I know it will need a little modification probably, but does the tool box interfere with it? Also has anyone made one out of wood, probably not the best material but I want to stain it to match my "wood grain" on the doors.

if you go back to page 2, ranger weaver made one out of wood, so yes, it can be done. Also, my jeep doesn't have a cargo cover but you could always just make the box a little shorter to help clear the cargo cover.
