So I put it in the jeep and it fits like a glove! Didn't think i would get it perfect and figured I would have to cut and weld a few things but it need up fitting great! Except the lid. Not sure why to do about that yet. I'll get more pics of the install and painting tomorrow.

I got he metal for free. My neighbor needed the wheel cylinders changed on his rear brakes and he got me the metal n return. I'll have to ask him how much. If I had to guess, maybe $50? I'm not too sure cause in the past I've always just fixed his car, lawn mower, etc to get metal from him. And if it encourages you anymore to start welding, I'm only 17.

Updates! Cleaned up the welds, drilled the mounting holes, test fitted it, and starting to paint. I'm just using a galvanized silver paint cause that is all I have on hand right now. I was a little worried as to how strong the plastic trim would be as to holding th box in place but after screwing this thing into it, I am worried no more. The thing is rock solid. I can yank on it all I want but it's gonna stay right where it's at.
The only reason I put the little indention with the fin sticking out in the bottom is because I have rugged ridge floor liners and the liners lip will sit in there.
Here's the lip on he floor liner I'm talking about that will sit in the indention.
Here's the self tapping screws I used.

Painting is done, the box is installed. I'll get some final pics tomorrow. I still got to get a bigger lid. I'm thinking of using the old lid to make into a removable tray inside the box. Also I'm gonna put a little divider at the top half of the box righ before the slant.
Here's another guys box, you can see the little divider he put in the far side of the box. I'll probably do that with mine.

You can google Creepy Fabrication, contact info is there, I didn't see his latest batch of rear storage boxes in stock. He may have got out of the business.
It would be good to see someone reviving them, they are an excellent upgrade and modification, if you need any info or pics from mine let me know.
And it you can make a security console insert I will prepay for the first see link below.

My original offer to him stands - I would prepay for it AND buy you beer!
The rear storage cubby looks great though, nice job!
