No power, no interior lights, no guages bouncing with out key in ignition.
Hi,
I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Today when I went to start my Jeep there was no power at all. No interior lights came on as I opened the door. No dinging as I put key in the ignition. No dash lights came on as I turned the key. Jeep would not start or turn over. Checked battery terminals and they are fine. Then went back to start Jeep again and all the gauges were jumping/bouncing without the key in the ignition.
Then I removed battery, had battery tested and it was determined to have lost about 12 CCA, not much power loss. Reinstalled battery and charged it awhile. Now Jeep starts and everything works. Could this be a bad alternator or sensor or something else? Having alternator tested tomorrow before I replace it.
Thanks in advance for any help with this dilemma!

Mine started doing this about 2 weeks ago. Turned out to be a bad battery. Replaced battery and no problems since. Voltage gage on the dash was showing a steady 14 volts when running so I knew it was not an alternator problem.
